The upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG has been given a thinly-veiled preview with a concept car at the LA motor show.
The Concept GLA45 AMG uses the same all-wheel drive drivetrain as the A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG, meaning a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 335bhp and 332lb ft of torque sends drive through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. A 0-62mph time of “under five seconds” is claimed.
A production model of the same name is expected to follow soon after this concept, and go on sale in the UK in the spring. The car has previously been spotted testing.
A bodykit, lowered sports chassis, beefed-up brakes, sports exhaust with twin tip pipes, 21in alloys and bespoke trim inside and out are among the changes over on the standard GLA on which the concept is based.
