Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Buemi has driven a Red Bull Formula One car on the frozen lakes of Montreal to promote the return of the sport to Canada.
Using special tungsten-studded Bridgestone tyres, Buemi first drove the car around the Gilles Villeneuve circuit before taking it onto the frozen Olympic Basin, which surrounds the circuit.
Canada was left off last year’s calendar, but has been reinstated for 2010.
Red Bull Racing has released a short video on You Tube showing Buemi in action.

All very interesting, but you seem to have forgotten about the 'Monte', were cars are racing on snow/ice/tarmac, all on one stage quite often.

If snorkels can be built into the helmets, why not.
