VW's WRC star is to increase his involvement in Volkswagen's performance models

World Rally champion Sébastien Ogier is likely to play a wider role in the development of Volkswagen's fast road cars in future, according to VW’s head of development, Heinz-Jakob Neusser.

Ogier, who took his first championship crown driving the Volkswagen Polo WRC in its first full season in the series, has already contributed to development of the Volkswagen Golf R at the Nürburgring, and will now take on more road car work.
