Mazda recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of the MX-5 roadster at its Miyoshi Proving Ground in western Japan, and now we can bring you a hi-res gallery of the event.
Over 1600 MX-5 owners, from Japan and overseas, arrived from 6.30am to line up on the banked circuit.

The event was officially launched with a toast from a 20-year-old MX-5 owner, who was born in 1989, the same year as the world’s best-selling roadster was launched.
Members of the original development team met owners, with Mazda development chief Seita Kanai shouting, “The Roadster [MX-5] is forever” when he stood up to address the crowd.
