Vauxhall Mokka from £16,995

Vauxhall’s rival to the Nissan Juke and Ford Ecosport – the new Vauxhall Mokka – goes on sale this November priced from £16,995.

Vauxhall’s high-riding five-seater (based on GM’s Gamma II platform) comes in three trim levels – S, Exclusiv and SE – and is available with the choice of three engines from launch.

These include the entry-level 113bhp 1.6-litre petrol, turbocharged 138bhp 1.4 petrol (4x4 as standard) and the firm’s 128bhp 1.7CDTi unit. 

Standard equipment on S-spec models include air-conditioning, 16-inch alloys, daytime running lights, hill start assist, digital radio and cruise control. 

Exclusiv spec adds Bluetooth, parking sensors and 18-inch alloys on to the list, while range-topping SE Mokkas include heated leather seats, tinted glass, chrome-effect door handles and adaptive headlights. 

The most frugal front-wheel-drive, six-speed manual diesel Mokka achieves a claimed 60.1mpg with 124g/km CO2, while the most powerful car in the range -  the 138bhp 1.4T – will achieve 44.8mpg and 149g/km CO2. Entry-level five-speed 1.6-litre cars achieve 43.5mpg with 153g/km CO2.
