Red Bull junior team reveals new STR6 in the Valencia pit lane

Toro Rosso has launched its new 2011 STR6 Formula One car in Valencia.

The Red Bull junior team has retained last year’s drivers Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari for 2011 and promoted British F3 champion Daniel Ricciardo to a Friday test and reserve-driver role.

The STR6 follows the high nose trend of those new F1 cars already revealed. It is only the second car that Toro Rosso has designed itself, after its customer car supply from parent team Red Bull was cancelled at the end of 2009.

The new car will take to the track for the first time in F1’s first official winter test this morning.
