Aston Martin has launched a new motorsport-inspired hardcore special edition of its V8 Vantage, the N420.
The Aston Martin V8 Vanatge N420 is the successor to 2007’s N400 model and has been created to celebrate Aston’s achievements in racing at the Nurburging 24 Hours.

It is powered by the same 420bhp 4.7-litre V8 as the standard V8 Vantage but it is now 27kg lighter than that car and also features several styling changes, as well as a revised interior and upgrades to the suspension and exhaust systems.
The N420 gets a carbonfibre front splitter, side strakes and diffuser and new 10-spoke gloss black alloy wheels. Black mesh vents and a ‘Graphitic’ finish to the tailpipes complete the exterior changes.
Inside, it gets an ‘Iridium’ interior package encompassing graphite instruments, a leather or Alcantara finish to the steering wheel and lightweight carbonfibre seats with the ‘Race Track’ stitching from the V12 Vantage. Bluetooth connectivity, as well as cruise control and Park Distance control, are offered as standard.
The N420 is fitted with the normally optional Sports Pack as standard, which includes revised spring, dampers and anti-roll bars. A new sports exhaust system with a louder exhaust note is also standard.
New colours are also available to celebrate Aston’s racing heritage, including ‘Rose’ yellow, ‘Kermit’ green and ‘Elwood’ blue.
It is available as either roadster or coupe and will cost from £96,995 when order books open later this month. The first deliveries are scheduled for the end of August.

Re: Hardcore Aston Vantage revealed
Re: Hardcore Aston Vantage revealed
Porsche have been doing this for years and have made a
fortune out of the fools who have spent so much on their cars.
If Aston can also make a fortune good luck to them,it does
not seem to have done Porsche much harm.
Re: Hardcore Aston Vantage revealed
Funny because it's true...
Limited funds, a range of cars that looks the same...it's tricky to know where they go next.
They can't really afford a new engine design so next gen cars stick with an updated (but no doubt "all new") 6.0 lire V12 and the V8 cars pick up the Jaguar / RR 5.0 from the supply agreement with Ford.
As for design do they wind up doing an old Jag and just updating the design of their three models subtley until they look retro??
And they can't compete for technology. What a car the 599 GTO is vs the DBS...
Hard to know where to go for Aston...
