Bentley has revealed two new Continental models designed and engineered exclusively for the Chinese market. The cars will formally be unveiled tomorrow at the Beijing motor show.
The Crewe-based firm has rapidly increased its presence in the emerging market since 2002 and last year sold 421 cars there. Bentley already has nine showrooms in China and willl open four more this year to coincide with the launch of the two new models.

The Bentley Continental Design Series China "highlights the creativity of Bentley’s stylists working in partnership with the company’s colour and trim experts to create some vibrant, design-led interiors". All cars have a three-tone interior that feature contrasting colours, including orange and magenta. Exterior changes include new badges.
The Bentley Continental Flying SpurSpeed China is the model engineered especially for the Chinese. It features a new comfort suspension setting, although performance from its W12 engine hasn't been reduced. Styling upgrades on this car include new 20-inch alloys and new badging.
Geoff Dowding, Bentley's regional director foir Asia and Middle East, said: "Bentley has a long and proud tradition of creating exclusive cars designed to meet the styling and driving tastes of our customers, wherever in the world they might be.
"Designed and offered exclusively for our customers in China, these special-edition Bentleys showcase our styling and engineering teams’ abilities and also underlines our desire to create cars for this influential market.”

When a special version for the Chinese is announced you expect to see tastless colours and styling, but these new Bentleys looks very nice and would look OK over here.
Take note Maybach as your Chinese offer doesn't have to look so naff!
