Fiat’s has revealed more details on its new seven-seat Doblo, which goes on sale in the UK early next year.
The car is based on a new, larger platform and Fiat is claiming that it offers more passenger and luggage space than ever. The boot capacity is 790 litres, but this increases to 3200 litres with all the seats folded flat. Passenger legroom has been boosted by lengthening the wheelbase to 2755mm.
In Europe the Doblo will initially be offered with four engines: a 94bhp petrol, and three diesel Multijet engines with 89bhp, 104bhp and 133bhp. The lowest-powered diesel emits 129g/km of CO2.
A dual-fuel petrol/methane engine, which won't be on sale in the UK, and an additional diesel engine linked to a Dualogic manual gearbox with paddle shifters will be offered at a later date.
Start-stop, ABS and ESP will be offered as standard, while a hill-assist system is also included. Standard tech features include automatic climate control, MP3 stereo, cruise control, parking sensors and Fiat’s Blue&Me hands-free system. A TomTom sat-nav is also available.
No details of pricing have been released.

Re: New Fiat Doblo: more details
Incredibly rich spec for a car in this market sector. I'm sure it will be a great family load-lugger for those who are not obsessed with brand image.
Re: New Fiat Doblo: more details
I just love these kind of cars, just had a drive in a Berlingo the other day, and man, just so much room and amazingly refined, who cares if it doesn´t handle well, for a family these things just rock.
