This is Peugeot's hottest 207 to date - the 1.6-litre GT Turbo.
The new car is powered by an engine developed by the French manufacturer in conjunction with BMW, a version of which will also appear in the new Mini Cooper S. A direct injection unit, it produces 150bhp at 5800rpm and 180lb ft of torque at 1400rpm.
The GT Turbo will include six airbags, anti-lock brakes, ESP, tyre pressure sensors, a Thatcham Class One alarm, directional headlamps, dual-zone climate control air conditioning, a glass roof with sunblind, 17in alloy wheels and half-leather trim. It will go on sale in November, priced at £14,345 on the road.
Peugeot has yet to announce any performance figures for the new machine, but it has already confirmed that a more powerful turbocharged 207 will be launched next year.
