Honda will reveal the new Civic three-door at the London motor show in July. The new hatch will be built alongside in Swindon alongside the five-door, with which it will share much of its styling.
There is little information on the new car, but expect it to share its engine line-up with the five-door, including 1.4 and 1.8-litre petrols and the 2.2-litre i-CTDi diesel unit. The Type-R will get a new 197bhp 2.0-litre VTEC engine. Expect the new hot hatch’s styling to be very close to that of the Type-R Concept, as unveiled at the Geneva motor show, and which will also be in London.
As well as the new Civic, the Honda stand will play host to the new Legend luxury saloon, and ‘View Suspended’ – an F1 car ‘exploded’ into each of its individual components as a piece of 3-D art, as featured recently in Autocar.
