Scottish MotorFair set fair

In its third year the Scottish MotorFair is gathering pace: 15,000 people are expected at the Knockhill circuit in Fife the 13th/14th May weekend.

The two day event has a spread of attractions. Most car manufacturers are said to be offering circuit rides in their current models. 4x4s will be on hand at the off-road circuit and there will be a skidpan.

All are free of charge after you've paid the admission charge of £10 (£5 concessions and a family ticket for two adults and two children at £25).

There's also a monster truck show, a display of armed forces hardware, parachute displays, simulators and a series of stunts with a 500bhp four-wheel-drive Focus Cosworth and a 700bhp Nissan Skyline.

The supercar lineup includes exhibits from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ascari, Mercedes' SLR and Lotus. The cars will take to the track, as will an ex-Barrichello 2003 Ferrari F1 car.
