VW has sweetened its Golf Plus range by increasing the specification of the entry-level model and the SE.
The entry-level S model becomes the Luna. The most significant changes to it are the fitting of 15-inch alloys and various convenience features in the cabin: rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and a variable boot floor.
There is no increase in cost over the S, which has ABS, ESP, front, side and curtain airbags, air conditioning and a CD player. The cheapest Luna is listed at £12,995 on the road. Moving up the range to the SE, the gains are a leather-trimmed steering wheel, gearlever and handbrake and 16-inch alloys. The cheapest SE costs £15,835.
