Mazda tweaks the 2

Mazda has given its 2 hatchback some mid-life tweaks - and taken a few quid off the price. There are small changes to the exterior and interior, new colours, fog lights, alloy wheels and trim levels with more equipment.

Engine changes are also on the minor side, though the 1.4-litre diesel is now Euro IV compliant. In addition, the engine’s exhaust gas recirculation system has been altered to reduce NOx emissions.

The Mazda2 range starts at £8,700 on the road for the 1.25-litre petrol, rising through £9,730 for the 1.4-litre diesel with air conditioning and electric front windows, to £10,630 for the diesel with everything.
