Alfa Romeo will reveal this lightly facelifted 166 at the Frankfurt show - but the most impressive version of the car, which features a new 2.4-litre 175bhp five-cylinder diesel, won't be coming to the UK.
Brit buyers are missing out because the company reckons that it doesn't make economic sense to convert the Multijet version to right hand drive - just 135 have been sold to July this year. We will though get the new 250bhp 3.2-litre six-speed V6, however.
The facelift mainly consists of revised front-end styling, along with new tail lamps and fresh colours and trims. Chassis refinements are unconfirmed.
