The first Saab convertible to be built in Sweden has rolled off the production line in Trollhättan today - even though rumours suggest the car maker's fate may be decided within 48 hours.
All previous Saab convertibles have been built outside of Sweden, first at Valmet Automotive in Uusikaupunki, Finland and latterly at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria.

However, during 2009, the decision was made to concentrate all Saab car production in Sweden and as a result the Saab 9-3 convertible is now being built alongside the current 9-3 and 9-5 models, plus the next generation 9-5.
GM says talks regarding the sale of Saab are 'ongoing', with reports suggesting Spyker and Genii Capital have been told to make improved offers for the brand or it will be closed down.

Well they had an hour off in the protest today, so yeah, 93 was possibly the amount of cars SAAB built today.
TBH I always wondered why Magna built the Convertible when Trollhättan had the capacity to build it all along?
