Lebanese firm W Motors confirms its new supercar, the Hyper-Sport, will make its public debut at the 2013 Qatar motor show

Lebanese start-up manufacturer W Motors has confirmed plans to launch its first supercar. The production version of the Hyper-Sport – of which only five will ever be built – will make its public debut at the 2013 Qatar motor show. A Super-Sport version will follow shortly afterwards.

Reports suggest that the Hyper-Sport will feature a carbonfibre monocoque. Power is rumoured to come from a 740bhp, mid-mounted twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine. A 0-62mph time of 2.8sec and a 240mph top speed are also claimed.

W Motors is targeting the Middle and Far Eastern, African and eastern European markets with its Hyper-Sport. The Hyper-Sport will feature a fully functional holographic display with 'interactive motion' that "gains years of innovation ahead of competition”, according to W Motors’ founder Ralph Debbas.

Pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Hmm. Not bad but....

There is a reason why limited production cars cars do not look as dramatic as they ought to. One of them is the tooling can be very expensive and judging by some of the intricate detailing on the rendering and along with it's carbon fibre chassis I reckon the car will end up costing near million if not more. The other reason is the saftey regulation it has to meet not just to passenger but to the pedestrian.  The front of the car looks like it could slice a person in half.  Probably reason why it won't be on sale in Europe or North America as they have far tougher safety regulations.  Not to to mention the tough regulation on C02 emissions. A car like that will emit high C02 and will need expert tuning to meet the tough regulations without losing performance. But judging by the targeted performance figures it's going to have to be a massive engine to get 740bhp from a twin turbo V6.

What a waste of a web page. How can they target the Middle and Far East, Africa and East Europe with only 5 Hyper-Sports being produced?
