Honda shows its updated hybrid coupé in Indonesia ahead of its expected Paris debut

A revised version of the Honda CR-Z has been displayed at the Indonesia motor show, ahead of a European reveal at next week’s Paris show.

The facelifted model uses a revised version of the current car’s 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine and electric drivetrain. Rumours suggest power will increase from the 124bhp and 128lb ft currently offered to around 134bhp and 140lb ft. Honda has already stated the engine changes will not affect its CO2 emissions of 117g/km.

Honda is expected to offer the choice of a six-speed manual or CVT gearbox, but it is likely the latter will be offered to British buyers.

The facelift includes a revised front grille and bumper, LED front and rear lights, updated door mirrors and new 17-inch alloy wheels.

Still not enough though, is it.  This car needs a higher powered version, say of at least 180bhp.  My old CRX had 130bhp in 1988.  Come on Honda, you've proven your green credentials, now give us something with some poke.

I believe the text should read:

Am I correct, Autocar??
