Pair of advanced Mitsubishi concepts to be unveiled at Geneva

Leaked pictures from a Russian website claim to reveal Mitsubishi's CA-MiEV and GR-HEV concepts, which are due to be unveiled at the Geneva motor show tomorrow.

Unofficial sources say that the CA-MiEV concept is an all-electric vehicle, like Mitsubishi's i-MiEV, which features a high-efficiency drivetrain.

It's said to use an all-new electric motor and that the Mitsubishi supports both regenerative braking and wireless charging.

Aided by an aerodynamic body, lightweight design and high-capacity batteries, the CA-MiEV is likely to have a range of around 180 miles.

The larger GR-HEV is a pick-up truck that reputedly features a diesel-electric hybrid system. Four-wheel drive is standard and a range of advanced systems will work to boost traction when needed.

Despite its size, the GR-HEV is claimed to have emissions of less than 149g/km of CO2.
