Fiat shows two new versions of its 500-based Abarth 595 celebrating milestones at the Frankfurt show

Fiat has unveiled two new limited edition versions of its 500 Abarth 595 at the Frankfurt motor show today.

Special edition versions of the range-topping 500 Abarth is being shown in two trims. The first celebrates 50 years since the original Abarth 595 went on sale. The 50th Anniversary model is limited to 299 units and features retro-styled badging. Fiat says the model will be available to order on 15 September, exactly 50 years after the presentation of the first 595.

The second limited run model is a version of the Abarth 695 Maserati Edition finished in 'Record Grey' paint. Just 49 will be built, celebrating the founding of the Abarth brand in 1949.

Both models feature a 180bhp version of Fiat’s 1.4-litre T-Jet engine and are mated to the Abarth Competizione automatic manual gearbox.
