Suzuki will reveal a new compact crossover, a 4WD hybrid and a minicar crossover concept at the Tokyo motor show

Suzuki will show three new concepts at the Tokyo motor show.

The first, called the Crosshiker, is a compact crossover described by the firm as an alternative to the Regina/G70 concept seen in 2011. It's the same size as a compact car with a body that weighs in at 810kg. It's powered by a new three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine.

Next is the X-Lander concept, which rides on the same platform as the Suzuki Jimny. It gets four-wheel drive and is powered by a 1.3-litre engine in combination with an electric motor, all linked to an automated manual gearbox.

Finishing the concept lineup is the Hustler, a new crossover that Suzuki is planning to slot into the minicar segment. Described as being "a crossover that suits an active lifestyle", the concept gets plenty of SUV styling with a large interior space.

A coupé version of the Hustler will also be shown, alongside the iV-4 concept seen at the Frankfurt motor show.

X90

Agree with the X90 statements above, it was my first thought!

Shades of the Nissan Pike

Shades of the Nissan Pike Factory.

Not as good though - a blob, a box, and a curvy sub-Jimny.

X-Lander

A replacement for the Jimny is well well well overdue but I'm not sure Suzuki should be partnering with Fisher Price for it's new model.
