Sketches of a new Citroën crossover concept car have appeared online, with reports suggesting the model will make its debut at the Beijing motor show next week.
Although Citroën UK declined to comment on the authenticity of the sketches, but the signed name of one of PSA's lead designers, Cristian Gudima, appears in the bottom corner. Gudima has also previously worked for Volkswagen.
Traditional Citroën design hallmarks, including the firm's larger chevron front grille, can be seen on the reportedly official drawings. Plastic body cladding and large alloy wheels can also be seen, as well as a roof-mounted spoiler at the rear.
Reports suggest the crossover concept is a joint design study between Citroën and its Chinese partner Dongfeng. The concept could preview a new compact crossover model for the Chinese market, and could act as a rival to Peugeot's Peugeot 2008.
We already know Citroën is planning to show another DS-branded car at the Beijing show. That model, likely to be the firm's long-awaited DS SUV, has been previewed with a single image and is said to "marry power and refinement".
