This week's snippets of automotive news include news on the Lister Thunder, the Mini Electric’s design, Porsche talking Tesla and the Skoda Vision E.
Lister Thunder renamed:
The forthcoming Jaguar F-Type-based Lister Thunder has been renamed the LFP-666 to fit the firm’s new naming strategy. Rather than being named in honour of the Beast, the number refers to the 666bhp produced by the car’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8. Just 99 examples of the LFP-666 will be offered.
Mini Electric:
Design elements of the upcoming Mini Electric production car will ensure it stands out from the firm’s ‘standard’ offerings, according to design chief Oliver Heilmer. These include the wheels and grille, likely to be carried over from the concept version. But Heilmer said such styling elements might not feature on future Mini EVs: “In five or six years, we might not need these differentiators because it will be another standard Mini.”
Porsche talks Tesla:
Porsche UK Boss Alexander Pollich has acknowledged the role of rival Tesla in moving the electric market forward. He said: “It has been the pioneer and it has set a big challenge. At Porsche, we are planning to rise to that challenge, not just with our car [the Taycan] but in providing owners with the full 360-degree view to allow seamless ownership, including creating a supercharger network.”
Skoda Vision E:
The production version of Skoda’s Vision E will not look nearly as rugged as the Skoda Kodiaq, its SUV sibling. “It is purposefully not boxy,” said Skoda designer Karl Neuman, who wanted to show the car’s ‘fluidity’ yet keep the practicality associated with SUVs.

Lister Thunder has something
Lister Thunder has something about it. LPF666 is just a nonsense - could be an air conditioner.
Why pretend it's something more?
It's just a customised Jaguar.

60 year old, short, fat, balding men who suffer shortman syndrome will pay more for it.

Do you believe that Lister should turn away customers, due to nothing other than their age/physical appearance, as you judge it?. You are as far away from a person who makes the sort of money required to buy this type of car, as it is possible to be...why?...because in general, it is successful self employed folks who sell their goods/services to those who can pay for them, rather than turning away their business just because of their appearance. You are shallower than a dried up puddle. Go away with your prejudices and do not return.

You appear to know so much about me. I'll throw a similar question back to you that you continually ask xxxx on here. What is it that you do to be so enlightened. And back to your admittedly funny post, surely a dried up puddle is not a puddle. You comedy TWIT (TWAT).

Possibly the shortest, but least well informed comment thus far. You will deny it, but your envy is a terrible consumer of your self respect.

Do you drive a Jaguar? TWIT. More likely you just sit at your keyboard desperately trying to be clever and popular, criticising others intellect and literary skills. Saying that, you're probably just a sad middle aged fat prick who still lives with his maman and knocks a few out each day over porn. What other names do you post on these comments under?
