Chrysler will substantially upgrade its unloved Sebring saloon in North America later this year, including a relaunch under a new name.
Set to reach dealerships in the fourth quarter, the Chrysler 200 will receive significantly overhauled styling over the Sebring, including new front and rear ends incorporating new headlight, bumper and grille designs.

The Chrysler 200 will be offered with a 2.4-litre petrol engine mated to either a four-speed or six-speed automatic gearbox. A new 279bhp, 260lb ft V6 petrol engine will also be offered mated to a six-speed auto’ ‘box.
The chassis has been upgraded over the Sebring, too, to offer a softer ride. The suspension geometry has been revised, while NVH levels have all been reduced.
Interior upgrades include more soft touch materials and new instrument and centre console designs.Read the Fiat/Chrysler five-year plan in full

Re: Chrysler to launch 200 saloon
The main problem with this car (Sebring) was the shape & height of the cabin compared to the excessively long front and rear overhangs. They won't have changed those proportions so I don't think this car is going to be a great looker. It certainly won't have the proportions of the 200C that was fairly well received. It's interesting that the proportions worked much better on the Dodge Avenger with it's chunkier styling (that was in no way intended as an admission of approval!).
However, it will be dramatically improved in most other areas so I'm not suggesting it'll be a bad car, just a badly proportioned one.
Re: Chrysler to launch 200 saloon
If the rest of the car looks as good as the teaser shots, Chrysler may have a winner on it's hands!
Re: Chrysler to launch 200 saloon
Whilst It is still based on the original sebring, it appears that it is having a substantial overhall, new suspension, completely new interior, new engines, majority of styling changed. SO it should be a completely different vehicle.
