An image of the Volkswagen T-Cross Breeze concept has been leaked onto the internet a day ahead of its official unveiling at the Geneva motor show.

The T-Cross Breeze is based on the Volkswagen Polo and previews a future production model that could arrive on the market in 2018. It'd enter VW's SUV range under a larger SUV, influenced by the T-Roc concept, which would be based on the Volkswagen Golf. Both models would sit below the Volkswagen Tiguan and Tourag.

The arrival of the Breeze suggests Volkswagen wants an offering for the open-top SUV segment, which is currently headed by the more premium Range Rover Evoque convertible. If the convertible model does indeed make production, it could be priced from about £20,000, ranking it alongside SUV models like the Ford Kuga.

More details and pictures will be available when the T-Cross Breeze is officially unveiled tomorrow at 7:20am GMT.

Listen for....

Listen for the praise and adulation heaped on it, hear the journos salivate and say how attractive and well built it is, and see how the sheep flock to place their orders as it is innovative? And of course built by VW- Then after that sit back and see that these are the same journalists who panned the Land Rover Evoque Convertible- After that just sit back and see why the British motor industry died- Verdict? Cannibalism.....
